Social problems cannot be solved by technology, but technology can help

From home labs to hyperscaler, from pirate radio stations to the highly professional media agencies and from home LAN cabling to intercontinental networks, we are interested in your submissions on technology itself, approaches to using it creatively, its influence on our society, and why certain things should (rather not) be done.

Topics

This includes
- the use and development of various electronic forms of communication and media
- the development and operation of the necessary infrastructure
- and experiences or concepts of integrating them into society.

This is meant to be a rough framework and we are interested in anything that touches on it. So if you are unsure whether your topic is right here, just submit your contribution.

Formats

We offer the following formats
- Lightning-Talk (20min)
- Talk (60min, incl. 20min Q&A)

Production

The FeM channel will not have a studio, so all talks must be held remotely or pre-recorded.

You can:
- give your talk live at home
- have us pre-record your talk at home (Live-on-Tape)
- produce your talk yourself and submit the recording to us.

If you come from Ilmenau, you can also have your talk recorded on site. (Depending on capacity, we can also offer to record a talk for other channels. Please send us an email).

Contact

If you have any questions about giving your talk at the FeM Channel, don't bother contacting us: cccongress-talks-2021@fem.tu-ilmenau.de
