Queer mathematics?
Andrea Blunck
In this mini-workshop, I would like to initiate a discussion on the following question:
To what extent does being queer influence how a person practices mathematics, and what kind of mathematics emerges as a result?
My starting point is similar questions and lines of inquiry concerning women and mathematics: How might gender influence the practice of doing mathematics? Is there such a thing as “female mathematics”?
(Time: 1h. Participants: no limit.)
