DESCRIPTION:\nThe session will start with an introduction to the topic of u
 sability and user experience (UX)\,\nincluding the human centered design p
 rocess (HCD) and design thinking (DT). After having laid\nout the foundati
 on\, a brief overview of different usability evaluation methods is given. 
 The main\npart of the presentation is about introducing two often used met
 hods: On the one hand the heuristic\nevaluation as an example of a usabili
 ty inspection method\, and usability testing on the other hand.\nBoth meth
 ods can be used to find (potential) usability problems in a software. Wher
 eas a heuristic\nevaluation is conducted by an expert following a check-li
 st\, a usability test needs end users who\nfulfill tasks to be conducted. 
 After describing how both methods can be used individually\, also a\npract
 ical way to combining them is presented. The session will conclude with an
  overview of the\nadvantages and disadvantages of each method.\n\n### Thre
 e takeaways of this session will be:\n\n* A basic awareness for usability/
 UX and the importance of evaluating it\n* An overview of the two major usa
 bility/UX evaluation methods heuristic evaluation and\nusability testing\n
 * A first idea how to use these methods for your/a software project\n\n##
