Binary Exploitation Beginner Workshop
12-28, 14:30–16:30 (Europe/Berlin), HDMI (room 3)
Language: English

This workshop introduces basic concepts of x64 binary exploitation on Linux.

The workshop consists of a collection of increasingly difficult pwn challenges and is accompanied by a presentation and set of slides that first introduce basic concepts and then apply them to those challenges.

This workshop aims to introduce beginners to basic 20th century exploitation techniques.

Participants will exploit their first buffer overflow, their first oracle attack and their first ROP chain.
All challenges are designed for self learning and come with optional hints.

Throughout the workshop, at certain intervals, challenges will be solved together by explaining the solutions on stage, so that everybody can follow along and get help if needed.
