This workshop is an experiment in (musical) jamming as a collective practice for community building and revolutionary scheming.
Emma Goldman supposedly said "A revolution without dancing is not a revolution worth having". And in order to dance and start a revolution, we need to make music. In this workshop, there will be a short introduction to live coding music using Strudel, so everyone has at least one tool to create music for the jam. But since there are many ways to make music, participants are welcome to bring their own digital or analog instruments, synthesizers and processes to the jam. While we learn how to create sounds and make music together, we can reflect on creative outlets for ourselves and our communities, knowledge sharing and what influences our activist work.
