How to develop ethical questions about the creation of data-driven and machine learning-based AI technology and its applications
Artificial Intelligence is everywhere, we use it when we are searching for information, writing to our friends and creating content professionelly. While some see a workload reduction on the horizon, others critique the way those "artificial intelligence" programs are built and deployed. Who is providing the data that is necessary for the training? Who curates what is deemed a valuable innovation and who gets to decide how the program works? Such questions of social equality and fairness are central to today's ethical concerns.
This workshop provides an short overview of problems, philosophical theories and technological methods. This includes the philosophical foundations and practical implications of doing ethics as well as different technological phenomena like bias and dark patterns.
