META-TRØNIC, aka Kaarlo, co-founder of Rio Underground Records, is a Finnish/Brazilian DJ and producer, one of the remnants of the old school underground scene in Rio de Janeiro.

His passion for electronic music started in the mid90's when he met the DJ who
brought the techno culture from Germany to Rio. Through this opportunity, Kaarlo
contacted the techno temple from Copacabana, Bunker club, and got a job as a club
promoter. This was the bridge to connect him to the electronic music business.
In a couple of years, his network allowed him to organize his own events and find
his fate becoming a DJ/Producer. In the early 2000s, dedicating over 8 hours/day
to the practice of turntablism, his talent was recognized by the club, and he was invited to become a resident.

He consolidated his career, smashing dancefloors in countries as Argentina, Germany,
Finland, Netherlands, and Brazil, playing on the hottest clubs and massive festivals,
where the crowd felt the power of his beat. META-TRØNIC shared the stage with Christian
Smith, Alex Bau, Christian Fischer, Monoroom, Stefano Noferini, PleasureKraft, DJHell,
among others, and set the pulse in events like the Chemical Music Festival, held by Skol
Beats (BR), and the acclaimed fashion event Rio Fashion Week.
During the COVIDpandemic, engaging himself to keep the scene alive, he joined
IsolA.M.E.nto Musical held by BlocoA.M.E. (RJ), which became the world's biggest live streaming electronic music festival.
