The Haecksen will be at the 39th Chaos Communication Congress between 27 and 30 December 2025! Our assembly will once again feature our very own workshop room, which now needs you to fill our schedule!
So think about what we all need to power cycle to better our future and send in your workshop proposals. We want to share knowledge, network together and have lots of fun.
The deadline for submissions is November 22, 2025, at 11:42 p.m. (Europe/Berlin).
We're looking forward to every topic you burn for!

Please note: We focus on workshops and interactive formats, not lectures. What you present with us will not be streamed or recorded. If your idea is a better fit for a talk, maybe the SOS stage is the place to be.

What we want in our programme
Bring along what inspires you! We're especially looking forward to submissions regarding tech, hacking, making, science, arts, activism, inclusion and queerfeminism. For more participation and to lessen barriers we encourage workshops by and for newcomers.

This year we're featuring four different tracks. Following, you'll find a few inspirations what your workshop could be about:

Track 1: Diversity & Inclusion
Have you tried turning discrimination off and leaving it off?
- Diversity and variety of living beings and ways of being

Track 2: Skill Sharing
Cycle your knowledge!

Track 3: Community & Activism

- Voluntary work vs. everyday stress
- Recruiting supporters for projects and activist campaigns
- Ways to fend off the right

- etc.

Track 4: After Hours
Reboot your brain, recharge your batteries.
- Game jam
- Quiz
- Karaoke
- Open theme night
- Film night
- Improv theater
- etc.

What and whom we're looking for
We want to give beings, groups and topics a stage who get less room elsewhere. Thus, we prioritise submissions of FLINTA persons and marginalised beings or groups (also in a group with other people).
It's crucial that the proposed topics fit the Haecksen. Please mind the Haecksen principle: To the Haecksen homepage

Important points for the workshop submissions
- Should your workshop be limited to a specific group of persons (e. g. FLINTA-only, queer-only or Haecksen-only), please note this in the description. Consider carefully which groups you invite and why, and which groups you indirectly exclude. There's no need to justify anything, however we'd like to encourage you to think about it.
- Consider if any content warnings or age limits are necessary for your workshop, and enter these in the description.
- Should your workshop have any special requirements (e. g. required material, time slot, min./max. number of attendees), then please note these.
- Workshops may be held in German or English. Please pick the language you as a workshop moderator feel the most comfortable with.

After the CFP deadline we will promptly revision all the submissions, clarify things where needed and get back to you by start of December. If you're in, we'll need your confirmation roughly in the middle of December. We're planning to release the workshop schedule about a week ahead of the beginning of the Congress.
