#38c3 Haecksen-Workshops
From December 27-30, the Haecksen will also be back in Hamburg for the 38th Chaos Communication Congress with an assembly. We would like to put together a workshop program for this.
In order to make full use of the Haecksen knowledge, we need you: Submit your workshops (30-180 minutes), in which we can exchange knowledge, network and have fun together. The deadline for submissions is 01.12.2024 at 23:42:00.
We look forward to all topics that are close to your heart!
Please note: We would like to focus on the workshop format. What you present here will neither be streamed nor recorded. If this is important to you and your contribution fits better into the format of a talk, then take another look at the CfP of the Community Stages, which runs until 16.11.2024.
What fits into our program:
Bring whatever inspires you! We are particularly looking forward to contributions from the fields of technology, hacking, making, science, art, activism, inclusion and queer feminism. And for more participation and low barriers, we are especially looking forward to workshops by and for beginners.
We have prepared four different tracks this year. Here are a few suggestions as to which directions the respective workshops could take:
Track 1: Diversity & Inclusion
- Diversity & variety of people and forms of life
- Contributions from and for the different communities
- Discussion rounds on specific topics
- Anti-discrimination strategies
- Inclusion strategies
- etc.
Track 2: Skill sharing
- Technical and application-related skills
- Workshop on your favorite programming language
- App and hardware tinkering
- Upcycling
- Handcrafting
- etc.
Track 3: Anti-Nazi track
- (Technical) ways to counteract the rise of right-wing extremism
- Discussion rounds on specific topics
- Exchange formats with European and international participation
- etc.
Track 4: Evening program
- Game session
- Karaoke
- Open-Theme-Evening
- Movie
- Impro-Theater
- etc.
What and whom we are looking for:
We want to offer a stage to people, groups and topics that otherwise get less space. We are therefore particularly interested in submissions from FLINTA individuals and marginalized people or groups (also in teams with others).
It is important that the topics submitted are compatible with us: (To the Haecksen mission statement in German)
Three important points for the workshop submission:
If your workshop is to be FLINTA-only or Haecksen-only, please state this directly in the description. And if you want to add content warnings and/or age limits, please also include them in the description.
If your workshop has any special requirements (e.g. regarding required material, timing or minimum/maximum number of participants), please write this to the organizing team in the note field when submitting.
